Ryan Freeman is a Certified USPTA Pro with 25 years of experience. He has taught all ages from 3 years to 90. A few years ago, he served as the Head Coach for Team USA for the World University Games. Ryan spent a month in China with our top NCAA players competing. He has worked at all types of clubs from elite country clubs to swim and tennis clubs. Ryan also teaches special education at Ranch View Middle School and has three daughters ages 10-13. He is originally from the Palmetto State of SC and a graduate of Clemson University.
USTA Jr. Team Tennis brings kids together in teams to play singles and doubles against other teams of similar skill level. It promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self growth. Also, it's a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how they play the game - win or lose.

Bear Creek is active in USTA league play. USTA rates players according to their skill level. A 3.5 player is 'solid', with a good serve, forehand and backhand, but perhaps somewhat inconsistent. A 4.0 player hits harder overall, and is very consistent.
